In Narcisse Taiji, perfumer Marie Hugentobler captures the dual nature of one of perfumery's most enigmatic flowers - the narcissus. Harvested from the wild meadows of France's Aubrac mountains, nearly 1,600 kilograms of these delicate blooms are needed to produce just one kilogram of narcissus absolute. The result is a raw material of rare beauty, at once luminous and dark, fragile and powerful.

This contrast lies at the heart of the composition. The fragrance opens with the fresh, green radiance of the just-picked flower - vegetal, airy, and vibrant. Beneath this brightness, deeper shadows unfold: narcissus reveals its animalic, almost leathery undertones, enriched by earthy patchouli and soft, smoky woods.
