A composition inspired by Meo's travels to Istanbul during the time when he was still an "herbalist" and a researcher of wild medicinal flora. The first chapter of the Travel Trilogy is called Rites de passage ("Rite of Passage" in French).

The top notes are spicy-citrusy; this harmony is created by bergamot, black pepper, and grapefruit, symbolizing the harshness of Meo’s first encounter with the City of 3000 Mosques. After a few minutes, these notes evaporate and give way to the warm heart of the fragrance - where the sharpness and intensity of the first meeting with the city are replaced by the warmth of ylang-ylang blossoms, the uplifting scent of fragrant geranium, and rosewood.

Now, the fragrance speaks not only of a physical journey, but also of a spiritual one - a journey through the distant corners of the soul. At the core of the poetic concept lies the desire to recreate the scents of a charming, old Egyptian fabric and spice market in Istanbul, a city once known as Constantinople, and to revive a sort of "gateway to the East".

This is a fragrance with a nearly vintage soul. The embodiment of a nomadic spirit, always journeying in both body and soul. A rite of passage that reveals itself to us in everyday life - or in the special moments that mark our lives.

Meo Fusciuni is an Italian artistic project whose goal is to conduct olfactory research and create fragrances based on olfactory memories. The main role in these wanderings through the corners of memory is played by the ensemble consisting of Meo Fuschuni (real name - Giuseppe Imprezzabile) and Federica Castellani. The first olfactory project of the Trilogy of Travels was born out of a path filled with olfactory memories that connects Istanbul and Marrakesh, and includes a mnemonic journey into childhood. In the project Poetry Cycle, Meo Fushuni revealed the special moments of the researcher’s life preserved in memory in poetic and architectural pyramids of scents. A physical and mental journey through holy places, transformed by the scent of the human soul, runs like an invisible thread through the Mystic Trilogy, which emerged as a result of an important stylistic and sensory evolution.
