When Andy Warhol was planning his move to the Hamptons, he admitted he chose Montauk because of the kitschy architecture of the "Memory Motel", with its unmistakable details.
Warhol became a figurehead who sparked a wave of artists visiting the area. He lent his Montauk estate to The Rolling Stones for the summer, where they rehearsed for their tour and recorded parts of one of their greatest albums, "Black & Blue", which featured the ballad "Memory Motel".
The fragrance "Memory Motel" is a tribute to those restless and electrifying times — an androgynous scent with notes of vanilla and tobacco, wrapped in patchouli leaves.
