"Viole Nere" was born from my desire to express a deep love for the garden - both as a physical and spiritual place, a mirror of my soul.
I did this by reinterpreting the iconic Parma violet - a strict yet tender flower, delicate but with a strong character.
My Violet speaks of a March morning, when the earth is still wet and cold, damp from the lingering winter, and the first spring light touches the grass. Violets bloom and give their scent to the days - a ritual celebrated year after year.
I wanted to make this tradition contemporary, to find balance between powdery, fruity, and woody notes.
The sparkling note of blackcurrant evokes the freshness of that morning, while the vetiver, patchouli, and incense accord brings us back to the earth - to our roots.
Violet, iris, and other flowers become emotion, light, elegance. This is a modern classic - a violet of the 1920s, but reborn for a new century. - Meo Fusciuni
