ETRANGO is your ticket to a realm of imagination.

The 11th creation from J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin, ETRANGO pulses with confident energy—boldly exotic, unapologetically daring, and unmistakably Berlin.

A provocative dance of patchouli, wood moss, and cypriol tango, set against the lush backdrop of Damask rose and Arabian jasmine, this scent draws you deep into the glow of the metropolis. The name ETRANGO fuses the French "étrange" and the English "strange"—a sensual, fragrant collision between the mysterious and the unknown.

Elegant yet enigmatic, ETRANGO walks the fine line between seduction and sophistication. It awakens a longing for discovery, for the extraordinary.

J.F. Schwarzlose revisits its legendary roots with a modern twist: the original ETRANGO was launched in 1929, adorned with an orange-gold label and a stylized city skyline. Marketed as a “fantasy fragrance,” it was hailed as innovative, powerful, and timeless.

Reviving this spirit nearly a century later, designer Lutz Herrmann drew inspiration from the vintage packaging to craft a modern identity—confident, elegant, and unmistakably urban. The 100 ml flacon embodies this vision with refined typography, bold design elements, and a visual language that bridges Berlin’s past and present.

J. F. Schwarzlose fragrances are bold and intelligent, designed for individuals. Every note in them reflects the pulse of Berlin. The brand's history began in 1856, when keyboard instrument maker Joachim Friedrich Schwarzlose opened a pharmacy in Berlin. The company later became the official supplier of perfumes to the Imperial and Royal Household, but turmoil awaited it ahead: relocation, World War II, the division of stores by the Berlin Wall... After releasing a number of iconic fragrances and gaining an impeccable reputation in Europe and beyond, in 1976 the Schwarzlose business all ceases to exist. The brand was revived in 2012 under the name J.F.Schwarzlose Berlin. Lutz Hermann, an industrial and commercial designer, discovered information about J.F.Schwarzlose Söhne in the archives. To revive the perfume brand, Lutz found two like-minded people: Tamas Tagscherer, a public relations specialist, and perfumer Veronique Nibert.
