fougair by J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin is once again setting a new trend. In-house perfumer Veronique Nyberg has created the brand’s ninth fragrance since its relaunch. And once again, she delivers a scent that goes beyond traditional genre classifications. Inspired by a fougère fragrance from 1950 by Schwarzlose, this perfume captivates with its avant-garde formula, showcasing new facets of naturalness and lightness.

fougair is like a green meadow on a clear morning, wrapping you in a cocoon of lasting elegance. It’s a scent for free-spirited urban souls.

fougair raises its green fist in a revolutionary greeting, taking us into open spaces beyond the traditional boundaries of gender, color, and scent. There are no rules—everything is allowed. Individuality becomes a flexible space for confident self-expression.

Alongside a fresh, resinous fern accord, fougair sets the direction for a new vision. A gender-neutral composition is given structure by the clean note of Pure Jungle Essence™ pink pepper. From its depths, a sensual symphony of patchouli essential oil, fir balsam absolute, and the Lorenox™ molecule begins to pulse.

(Sometimes all I need is) fougair, the air I breathe...

J. F. Schwarzlose fragrances are bold and intelligent, designed for individuals. Every note in them reflects the pulse of Berlin. The brand's history began in 1856, when keyboard instrument maker Joachim Friedrich Schwarzlose opened a pharmacy in Berlin. The company later became the official supplier of perfumes to the Imperial and Royal Household, but turmoil awaited it ahead: relocation, World War II, the division of stores by the Berlin Wall... After releasing a number of iconic fragrances and gaining an impeccable reputation in Europe and beyond, in 1976 the Schwarzlose business all ceases to exist. The brand was revived in 2012 under the name J.F.Schwarzlose Berlin. Lutz Hermann, an industrial and commercial designer, discovered information about J.F.Schwarzlose Söhne in the archives. To revive the perfume brand, Lutz found two like-minded people: Tamas Tagscherer, a public relations specialist, and perfumer Veronique Nibert.
