Filippo Sorcinelli hails from the Marche region, which was severely affected by seismic activity in 2016 and 2017. The earthquake became the first theme in the Délire de Voyage collection. Epicentro is a fragrance dedicated to this event — and in particular, to Bolognola, a small commune of just 138 residents, located in the highest mountain area of Marche, at the heart of the Monti Sibillini National Park, and deeply impacted by the quake. An earthquake is a devastating, violent event that shatters lives, seizing "normality" in mere seconds.
Natural earthquakes awaken their counterparts within us: as if the loss of ground beneath our feet triggers a profound inner tremor. First come fear and the choking dust. Then you flee — abandoning everything: possessions, memories, necessities — desperately seeking shelter outside. You can't see. Your eyes and throat burn from the rubble's dust. You search frantically for a faint glimmer of light — your only point of reference.
Epicentro aims to be an answer: to recognize what has happened, to process it, and to respond — through the safety and solace of Beauty.
Epicentro is a true art installation, charged with emotion and sensory triggers, immersing you fully in a multi-sensory work of art. The bottle is set on a platform that simulates the tremors felt during an earthquake and, as a final touch, is accompanied by a precise replica of a fragment of debris from the Bolognola earthquake — collected by Filippo Sorcinelli during his first visit to the area.
Epicentro is not simply a fragrance — it is a project. A mission to support the people of Bolognola, so that this commune may once again live up to its ancient name: Bononia — "the land of good things".
